Jennifer covers Seventeen Magazine!

With The Hunger Games coming out in 16 days, Jennifer is catching quite a lot of attention and she is covering Seventeen Magazine where she gives a little interview.

Art imitating life

“The Hunger Games is not that far off from real life. We are living in a world where we watch extreme sports shows where people get hurt or killed. It takes a lot to shock us.”

How she spends her downtime

“When I’m not working, I love to just hang out with my friends and watchReal Housewives. My favorite cast used to be New Jersey, but now I’m really into Beverly Hills.”

Team Peeta or Team Gale?

“I think I was Gale, until he started getting a little too trigger-happy…or maybe first Peeta and then Gale, or Gale then Peeta? I went back and forth a lot!”

On her co-stars

“Josh [Hutcherson] and Liam [Hemsworth] are really great friends too. They are hilarious and sweet. They are like my brothers. As soon as we all got together, we reverted back to being 13-year-olds. Josh and I were neighbors and everytime I would come in late I would go bang on the door and wake him up and we’d all hang out.”

Cherishing her childhood

“Growing up, I lived 15 minutes away from a horse farm, and I went there almost every day. My brothers were into fishing, but I was all about the horses.”

Jennifer on the cover of Glamour UK

As the leading lady in Hollywood’s next series of teen blockbuster movies, Jennifer Lawrence is about to become one of the world’s hottest stars.

But although she’s an all-American girl, the 21-year-old has admitted she’s in love with all things British – and that includes her boyfriend, the About A Boy actor Nicholas Hoult.

The Kentucky-born actress says: ‘British men have these wonderful manners, and everything they say is funnier just because of the accent.

There’s this cute “I’m trying to be adorable because I know you’re mad at me” accent, and then the drunk accent where all the consonants have vanished.’

It must be the accent which helped her fall for 22-year-old Hoult – whom she met on the set of X Men: First Class – as she adds: ‘I don’t find myself attracted to actors, which is a weird thing to say when you’re dating one.’

Lawrence is still a relative unknown in the UK, despite her best actress Oscar nomination for her role in A Winter’s Bone.

But The Hunger Games – a trilogy set in a post-apocalyptic future in which youngsters fight to the death on TV – is set to change all that, with expectations it could even eclipse the global success of the Twilight series.
‘I love the relaxed way British girls dress. I think I dress like one,’ she said. ‘I like Topshop, Portobello Road and Selfridges – although I always get Selfridges and Waitrose mixed up, which has led to a few disappointing shopping trips.’

But the former H&M model might have trouble making incognito high street shopping trips if she becomes as famous as Twilight star Kristen Stewart.

‘I look at Kristen Stewart now and I think, “I’d never want to be that famous”,’ she says. ‘I can’t imagine how I’d feel if all of a sudden my life was pandemonium.

‘But I love my job. I can take months off, and I get a lot of money – way more money than any 21-year-old should have – so what is there really to complain about?’

Jennifers Hunger Games role dictated her hair

The Belfast Telegraph has an article about Jennifer’s hair in The Hunger Games  where she plays Katniss Everdeen.

Jennifer Lawrence’s “athletic” The Hunger Games film role decided her signature on-screen hairstyle.

The stunning actress stars as Katniss Everdeen in the highly anticipated picture.

The film is set in a future where a boy and girl from the 12 districts are selected to fight to the death on live television. Jennifer’s character Katniss volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest battle.

The Hunger Games’ on-set hairstylist Linda Flowers has revealed how she decided on Jennifer’s character’s signature braided look.

“I thought about her character’s reality – she’s a hunter who is active and very physical. So I wanted something easy that an athlete would wear and most importantly wouldn’t get in the way of her bow and arrow. That’s how I decided on the side braid,” she told Beauty High.

“I also wanted the braid to be visible from all camera angles, so I had it start on the left side of her head and wove it around to the right.”

Linda says braided tresses were a huge part of Katniss’ look.

The hair professional couldn’t get enough of the no-nonsense style on set.

“During the scene when she rides a chariot in the Capitol wearing the dress that’s on fire, we mixed in ten different plait styles into her updo,” she said. “It was like a head dress of braids!”

Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence Reteam for Serena

Bradley Cooper may be best known for starring in The Hangover, which has become the biggest comedy franchise of all-time (he’s current negotiating a $15 million payday to return for a third installment), but outside of that series, the newly minted A-lister has shown a laudable commitment to making low- to mid-budget dramas. In addition to last year’s Limitless and this year’s Sundance entry The Words, Cooper recently shot Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond the Pines and David O. Russell’s The Silver Linings Playbook, and Vulture hears that his next project will be in the same vein: an adaptation of the period novel Serena, which will reteam him with his Silver Linings co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

Set up at Mark Cuban’s 2929 Entertainment and based on the 2008 book by Ron Rash, Serena takes place in 1929 North Carolina, where young newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton move to build a timber empire. Their ambition is all-consuming and dangerous — neither is afraid to kill or destroy anyone who opposes them — but they’re turned against each other when Serena finds she can’t bear children and then launches a deadly vendetta against her husband’s illegitimate son. It’ll be a juicy role akin to Lady Macbeth for Lawrence, who’s got The Hunger Games coming out this March; indeed, Angelina Jolie once flirted with making Serena with director Darren Aronofsky. Instead, Academy Award winner Susanne Bier (In a Better World) will direct, and shooting is set to begin soon.

Jennifer Lawrence: People Are Desensitised To Heartbreak

Contact Music has an article on Jennifer in where she talks about people in general being desensitized to heartbreak using Kim Kardashian’s marriage breakdown as an example.

Jennifer Lawrence thinks the general public are too “desensitised” to heartbreak. The Oscar-nominated actress plays the lead role of Katniss in ‘The Hunger Games’, about a future world where teenagers are made to fight to the death while on television, and she believes such things are comparable to the modern TV-viewing public – citing the break-up of Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries as an example.

She said: “We all can’t wait to tune in to the new season of ‘The Kardashians’ to watch a marriage be destroyed.

“That’s such a heartbreaking, terrible thing to happen to anybody and we tune in and watch it. We’re become more and more desensitised to the things we see on TV. That’s our entertainment: people suffering.”

However, realism was difficult to achieve with the film as director Gary Ross had to commit to a PG-13 rating, not that it is something he regrets.

He told Empire magazine: “I don’t think it has to be violent in order to be urgent.

“For the majority of the movie Katniss is being pursued and it’s a violent universe she’s in. But that doesn’t mean the violence has to be depicted gruesomely or exploited in any way.”

Jennifer Lawrence: Hottest woman of 2011!

Mens health has released their 100 sexiest women and guess who is the top of the list? Jennifer Lawrence!

We freely admit there aren’t many women who could turn us on while covered head to toe in blue paint—it’s just not our thing—and fewer still who could arouse us with little more than a bow and arrow, yet 20-year old Oscar-nominee Lawrence does both as Mystique in X-Men: First Class and as Katniss Everdeen in next year’s hotly-anticipated Hunger Games

Female First: The Hunger Games

Female First has a little artcile about The Hunger Games and of course, the star Jennifer Lawrence

Another movie that has been causing a whole host of excitement in recent weeks is The Hunger Games, as the trailer premiered last month.

Jennifer Lawrence has had a superb 2011 with an Oscar nominated performance in Winter’s Bone before showing that she could also step into a big budget blockbuster X-Men: First Class.

She returns in March with her new movie The Hunger Games, a big screen adaptation of the popular novel by Suzanne Collins.

Lawrence will take on the much loved character of Katniss Everdeen in what looks set to be a very physically demanding role for the young actress.

Gary Ross is in the director’s chair while an all star cast joins Lawrence – including Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland.

I told you it was an impressive line-up of acting talent!!

Evan Peters: ‘Jennifer Lawrence is a total fox’

Evan Peters, who you may recognize from the  TV show American Horror Story. Well, Evan Peters was close in the running for Peeta (Now played by Josh Hutcherson) and in his interview with Vulture, he talks about auditioning with Jennifer!

You tested for the role of Peeta in Hunger Games, right?
I did, yeah. That was really cool; I got to do a scene with Jennifer Lawrence. I was nervous as hell, because she’s such a fantastic actress. And the movie is such a great story — I love all those books. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m so psyched.

Have you seen the trailer?
Yeah, it looks amazing. And I love Jennifer Lawrence. She’s a total fox. And such a good actress. It’s ridiculous.
