Forbes has a list of the ten actors to watch in 2010 and Jennifer is on the list as well as her two male leads, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Of the three main actors in the upcoming Hunger Games movie, Lawrence has the most to win … or lose. The film will only work for fans if Lawrence can achieve the balance of toughness and caring present in her character, Katniss.
Today, a new poster for Jennifer’s movie, The Hunger Games was released and looks pretty awesome!
Jennifer was voted on of Glamours break out stars of 2011 and makes the list at number 18!
Jennifer Lawrence appeared seemingly out of nowhere to earn an Oscar nomination this year for Winter’s Bone, propelling her to instant It Girl status. She’s gone on to star as Mystique in X-Men: First Class and play Anton Yelchin’s American girlfriend in the amazing Like Crazy. But the role Jennifer will likely be best known for is still to come: She’ll play the heroine Katniss Everdeen in the highly anticipated Hunger Games film trilogy, the first of which comes out in March 2012.
MTV has an article on the top ten Hunger Games moments of 2011 which is pretty cool. There’s a couple of moments involving Jennifer, as she is the female lead, playing Katniss Everdeen.
2.Jennifer Lawrence Is Katniss Everdeen
The Reaping then began in earnest, with seemingly every young Hollywood actress vying for the coveted role of District 12’s female tribute. Would it be Hailee Steinfeld? Kaya Scodelario? Abigail Breslin? In the end, MTV News had the pleasure of revealing that then-20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, who nabbed an Oscar nomination for her work in 2010’s “Winter’s Bone,” would enter the arena as the much-loved heroine.
4.First Look at Lawrence as Katniss
Salivating fans didn’t have to wait too long for their first taste of Lawrence as Katniss, as she posed for the cover of Entertainment Weekly, flaunting the tribute’s soon-to-be-iconic uniform. The styled snap quieted many critics who’d said the actress was too blond, too tall, too pretty or too whatever for the role.
I found an old photoshoot from 2010, by Sasha Eisenman
I found another Hunger Games promotional picture on Tumblr
I filled the gallery with all the missing “Hunger Games” related goodies including captures of the theatrical trailer, new stills and promotional outtakes plus posters of the film:
Hello everyone, I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to update all this time but I moved to a new place and I was super busy trying to organize my stuff. As I see Sian did an amazing job keeping you updated with all the latest new about Jennifer but the gallery needs some updates (this is totally my fault as I forgot to share the gallery info before I “disappear”).
So, I already started updating! You can check lots of Jennifer photos while filming “The Silver Linings Playbook” with Bradley Cooper in various locations:
I was on tumblr and had found a new image of Jennifer as Katniss Everdeen in her upcoming movie, The Hunger Games. It seems to be a picture from a promotional shoot.
Sorry for the slow updates, I need to upload quite a bit to the gallery but I haven’t got the log in details yet, so please bear with me and hopefully there will be a huge gallery update soon!
EOnline! had an article on the good girls and Bad Ass girls of Hollywood and which do Hollywood favour?
Or if that’s not reason enough, take Jennifer Lawrence. J.Law literally skinned a squirrel in Winter’s Bone and now battles the boys in The Hunger Games—a true beauty without one girly role in sight.
And not only do these chicks have the ‘tude to match the tough, but they are now praised for their honesty, and fully accepted for their Vicey behavior.
Perhaps, it’s a much needed surge of girl power or just the simple conclusion that really good girls rarely exist in this town?
Fan share has a really intresting article on Jennifer and what her mothers influence is like the fact that Jennifer’s mother had read both The Hunger Games and Winters Bone
21 year old X-Men: First Class actress, Jennifer Lawrence, has revealed how her mother has had a big impact on her career so far, helping her to choose which roles she decides to audition for. Jennifer admitted that, while she is a fan of The Hunger Gamesbooks, it was in fact her mother who read the book first and fell in love with the character Katniss.
Lawrence explained, “I had read the books before I even knew I would be auditioning for the movie, and was a huge fan of the material. Actually, my mom read them first and thought it was an incredible role and story. She did the same thing with Winter’s Bone, so she must be a clairvoyant, or just has really great taste.” Jennifer won an Oscar nomination for her performance in Winter’s Bone.
She added, “Katniss is an incredible character: she’s a hunter but not a killer, a 16-year-old who’s being forced into the arena. These kids are killing one another only because if they don’t they’ll die. It’s needless, pointless, unjustified violence. It’s heartbreaking. When I auditioned, I told director Gary Ross, ‘I understand if you don’t hire me, but please remember that after Katniss shoots a bow and kills someone, her face cannot be badass.’”
Jennifer concluded, “So there’s nothing cool about her. It’s not like she looks around the arena and goes, ‘Yeah, I got this.’ I think she looks around helplessly, and thinks, ‘I made a promise to my sister that I would survive, now I have to kill in order to do so.’” Jennifer Lawrence can be seen portraying Katniss when The Hunger Gamesis released on March 23, 2012.
The Silver Linings Playbook has officially finished filming!
Heading home after a long night of celebration, stars of “The Silver Linings Playbook” were spotted leaving the film’s wrap party at Tangerine Restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania late Saturday (November 19).
Going barefoot for her car ride, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted sans footwear as she hailed a cab outside the eatery.
As for the movie, “The Silver Linings Playbook” is due out November 2012 while telling the story of a former teacher who, after spending four years in a mental institution, moves back in with his mother and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife.”
Alright I know this still doesn’t include Jennifer but I thought that you all would like to see it
Lionsgate has released another Hunger Games still but this one is of Katniss being escorted by the Peacekeepers in the Capitol’s training center!
