“The Hunger Games” Teaser Captures

I got the high definition version of the “Hunger Games” teaser presentation but the actual trailer is still not good quality. I capped it and added it in the gallery already and if I come across a better version I’ll replace the captures with better ones. For now, enjoy the epicness:

The Hunger Games fantasy songs

Hollywoodcrush.mtv.com has released an article on the type of songs that they would like too see in The Hunger Games. Please keep in mind that the article is just for fun.

The Baker Boy’s Lament
A ballad, sung by Peeta, in which he compares his love for Katniss to the burning, fiery heat of a thousand brick ovens. Features such emotionally wrenching lyrics as, “My heart’s a loaf, burned black and gray/I’ll feed it to the Mockingjay!”

Cato and Clove’s Polka of Murder
The disturbing nature of the film’s more graphic scenes will be tempered by this upbeat musical celebration of expert killing, featuring whimsical accordion riffs and a big oompah-oompah band.

The Ballad of Haymitch Abernathy
A rowdy drinking song by the movie’s favorite drunkard, with lyrics that grow progressively raunchier as Haymitch continues to imbibe. Fortunately for all involved, Haymitch passes out in a pool of his own vom before the words reach unprintable levels of filth.

The Hunger Games set on ‘lockdown’

E! Online had an article featuring some information of The Hunger Games film set and how the  ‘lockdown’ on all of the sets have a lot in common with the Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2 sets. The article says how set pictures of Jennifer Lawrence were released and then soon taken off the web, just like some of these twlight set pictures.

Sure, while some paparazzi pics of Jennifer Lawrence and her hunky costars leaked early on (and then were immediately removed), it seems Lionsgate is extra serious about stopping all leaks from their sure-to-be successful franchise.

“If you didn’t go down to the filming location, you really wouldn’t know that a movie shoot was being done,” reporter Graham Cawthon of the local Shelby Star told us of one of the film’s latest shooting locals.

“They did a good job of keeping the area blocked off—even from view—and security was out in force making sure no one was watching off-set.”

As for the cast and crew? Well they hardly pulled aRobsten, choosing to remain incognito instead of romping around the local hot spots.

“Crew and extras were spotted regularly at downtown restaurants, but not the main cast,” Graham revealed. “We did hear a few reports from folks who interacted with the cast, but they were few and far between.”

Jennifer Lawrence in the recording studio

As you all probably know by now, Jennifer Lawrence is going to be on The Hunger Games soundtrack and MTV news caught up with T-Bone Burnett on his reactions to her vocal talent.

But that musical omission will be changing soon, as Burnett not only told MTV News that filmmakers will be releasing “Hunger Games” tuneage soon, but that one track will feature Lawrence herself.

“Yeah, we did,” Burnett said when we asked if Lawrence had recorded anything in the studio. “And it was beautiful. She did great. She’s singing great. Killer actor too.”

Burnett’s confirmation follows a blog post in June from the website of Echo Mountain Recording Studio in North Carolina, detailing Burnett’s in-studio work with Lawrence. The post has since been deleted and Lawrence’s musical contribution has not been confirmed. After our chat with Burnett on Tuesday at the “Big Lebowski” reunion in New York, though (spoiler alert), we know the 21-year-old actress in fact recorded “Rue’s Lullaby,” a song Katniss sings after Rue, a young tribute in the Games, is mortally wounded.

“Yeah, we did that. We recorded that,” Burnett said about “Rue’s Lullaby.” “And it’ll be coming out soon.”

Co-COO of Lionsgate, speaks out about The Hunger Games

After releasing that Lionsgate will be making Catching Fire, the sequal to The Hunger Games which is second in the trilogy, Joe Drake (Co-COO of Lionsgate and President of the Motion Picture Group) had said this about The Hunger Games Trilogy.

“The magical thing about the Hunger Games trilogy is that the books have such a vastly broad appeal.  The stories truly offer something for everyone, and the period around the Thanksgiving weekend is such an opportunity for families and friends to make an event of going to the movies.”

So fingers crossed that they might make Mockingjay!

Josh Hutcherson pranks Jennifer on the set of The Hunger Games

Hi, my name is Sian and I will be helping out with the site.

I found this article a few days ago and it’s about Josh Hutcherson pranking Jennifer on the set of The Hunger Games.

“We have this fake dummy on set, this really gnarled-up scary-looking thing. The other day I put it in her bathroom in her trailer, and she told me she actually peed her pants, she was so scared. I’m sure she’s going to pay me back. I’m just terrified because she’s someone I can see taking it to the next level, and somebody could get hurt.”

New Motion Poster for “Hunger Games”

Yahoo revealed the new motion poster, which features Katniss’ iconic mockingjay pin materializing out of fire. It’s pretty cool to watch, though it doesn’t show us anything new yet. I also like the little bit of music they used for it.
