I’ve added six new promotional pictures to the gallery so be sure to check them out!
Total Film magazine has a new still of Jennifer’s new movie The Hunger Games and the still includes Jennifer as Katniss Everdeen and her co-star Josh Hutcherson who plays Peeta Mellark!
I found another still of Jennifer in “The Hunger Games” in HQ. Check bellow:
MTV has an article on the top ten Hunger Games moments of 2011 which is pretty cool. There’s a couple of moments involving Jennifer, as she is the female lead, playing Katniss Everdeen.
2.Jennifer Lawrence Is Katniss Everdeen
The Reaping then began in earnest, with seemingly every young Hollywood actress vying for the coveted role of District 12’s female tribute. Would it be Hailee Steinfeld? Kaya Scodelario? Abigail Breslin? In the end, MTV News had the pleasure of revealing that then-20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, who nabbed an Oscar nomination for her work in 2010’s “Winter’s Bone,” would enter the arena as the much-loved heroine.4.First Look at Lawrence as Katniss
Salivating fans didn’t have to wait too long for their first taste of Lawrence as Katniss, as she posed for the cover of Entertainment Weekly, flaunting the tribute’s soon-to-be-iconic uniform. The styled snap quieted many critics who’d said the actress was too blond, too tall, too pretty or too whatever for the role.
I filled the gallery with all the missing “Hunger Games” related goodies including captures of the theatrical trailer, new stills and promotional outtakes plus posters of the film:
I was on tumblr and had found a new image of Jennifer as Katniss Everdeen in her upcoming movie, The Hunger Games. It seems to be a picture from a promotional shoot.
Lionsgate launched facebook pages for every district and posted individual posters for some of them. Check them all in the gallery, plus a behind the scenes photo of Jennifer I forgot to post earlier:
CNN has wrote an article that has quite a bit on the hunger games and a little on Jennifer:
When Lionsgate announced that Jennifer Lawrence had been cast to play Katniss, both fans and critics questioned the choice, believing she was too old, too blond and too pretty to play a ruthless warrior. However, if her success in “Winter’s Bone” and “X-Men: First Class” is any indication of her range, Lawrence has the potential to nail this role and pave the way for kick-butt female heroines.
Jennifer’s character, Katniss Everdeen, from her upcoming movie The Hunger Games is now available to add on Panem October which you can find here.
If you have not yet joined Panem October, I recommend doing so. Its pretty fun as you find out your own district. You can sign up here.
Great news! Lionsgate has officially announced that The Hunger Games is wrapped! Jennifer will play Katniss Everdeen, which you probably all know anyway and it will come out next year. Jennifer stars along side the likes of Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne).
“It has been an absolute thrill watching THE HUNGER GAMES, a project that has truly become part of Lionsgate’s DNA since our acquisition of the book in 2009, come to life. What I observed on set was impressive on every level, and reinforced my confidence that we have assembled precisely the right team to bring Suzanne Collins’ brilliant novel to the big screen,” said Joe Drake, Lionsgate’s co-COO and Motion Picture Group President.
Teen Vogue have posted an online character profile for the characters of Jennifer’s up coming movie; The Hunger Games in which she plays Katniss Everdeen.
Katniss Everdeen
When her father died, fiercely self-sufficient sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen was forced to became the sole provider for her mother and little sister—which, in District 12, often means spending whole days in the wilderness, illegally hunting for food. Despite her hard exterior, Katniss has a big heart and often shares her spoils with others. Her love for her little sister, Prim, forces Katniss to take her place as a competitor in Panem’s annual Hunger Games. As a “tribute” in the games, Katniss uses her skills and strength to survive, and along the way learns something she never expected—how to trust someone else to take care of her.
Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinket in Jennifers new up coming movie, The Hunger Games had posted on her twitter that she has officially finished shooting! Her tweet had said:
That’s a wrap on EFFIE. Thank you North Carolina for your hospitality, earthquake, and hurricane. #HungerGames
So it shouldn’t be long for an official full length trailer!
