After releasing that Lionsgate will be making Catching Fire, the sequal to The Hunger Games which is second in the trilogy, Joe Drake (Co-COO of Lionsgate and President of the Motion Picture Group) had said this about The Hunger Games Trilogy.

“The magical thing about the Hunger Games trilogy is that the books have such a vastly broad appeal.  The stories truly offer something for everyone, and the period around the Thanksgiving weekend is such an opportunity for families and friends to make an event of going to the movies.”

So fingers crossed that they might make Mockingjay!

Lionsgate Publicity has just announced the release date of Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games series. The date is November 22, 2013 and as Katniss is part of the book we’re sure Jennifer will be a part of the film!
